As one of the first to become a bonded member of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (cpt) means we have undergone exacting financial scrutiny and provide a cash bond guarantee to protect your holiday and also to provide repatriation back home in the event of financial failure. This system is widely recognised by your local High Street ABTA travel agent.

Our quality coaches are maintained by our own qualified mechanics. Our maintance standards are scrutinised by VOSA and our latest final pass rate for our coaches annual MOT is exellent. We are very proud of this standard and you can be sure you are travelling in complete safety.

Booking Offices

Booking your holiday could not be easier. By telephone to our Meeth (01837 810257) or Paignton (01803 527959) offices, the girls will answer any questions regarding your chosen holiday then allocate your seat and reserve your accommodation. Our Drivers

For all of you who travel regularly with us who know our drivers. They are professional, experienced & skilful, knowledgeable, careful & caring with the added benefit of humour and laughter. They treat everyone the same, so if you are travelling alone or with your partner you can be sure you will feel part of the group. Many of you team up each year to travel on our holidays. We are also committed to training new drivers and they undergo the new NVQ standard in professional competence. Our commitment to training our drivers is a high priority for your peace of mind on holiday.

We have more than any other tour operator in the South West, but we can be flexible if we are travelling through your town or village enroute. Because of the geography of our area you must expect an early start on some tours and maybe a late return. However you will not have to worry about your luggage as our comprehensive service of minibuses & cars will take you to the tour coach on the most direct route. As soon as you leave your home town, sit back and relax you are on holiday.

Free Parking

For those who prefer to join the coach at our depot we can offer free parking in Meeth and for the first time in our Exeter depot. Please advise us at the time of booking your holiday as this is a very popular choice. Cars are parked at the owners risk and on condition that keys are left at the office.

Group Travel

What ever special interest your group is we would like to offer you our expertise in organising your group holiday. If you are a member of an association or club and you would like us to organize a holiday for you we are only a phone call away.

Smoking on Coaches

All seats are designated NON SMOKING and this must be adhered to at all times. However we do make regular stops on every journey.

Luggage

This is normally restricted to one average size case per person. Luggage is accessible at every hotel stop. For overnight crossings by ferry please bring hand luggage as access to the coach is not permitted once on board the ship.

Child Reductions

Reductions are available on all holidays for children under 12 as long as they share a room with 2 adults. Please enquire for full details.

Seat Allocation

Request for particular seats can be made at the time of booking but since allocation is on a first come first served basis, early reservation is recommended. There is a copy of the coach seating plan below, but for operational reasons a coach with a different configuration may be used from time to time. We reserve the right to make whatever amendments are necessary as a result but will make every effort to limit any inconvenience. Specific seats are not reserved on any feeder services used to reach the main departure point.

Seat Belts

Seat belts are installed on all seats and new regulations require that they must be worn.

Passports

For all continental holidays you will require a full 10 year Passport. No further entry requirements exist for British Nationals at the time of going to print but any changes will be notified as soon as they are known. For travel to Ireland please note that you will need an official item of photo identity (either a new style UK driving licence or a passport). Non EU Nationals are advised to contact their own embassy for further clarification of the entry position. We cannot be held responsible for any passenger who does not have the proper documentation.

Holiday Insurance

For the very first time, unfortunately Hookways are no longer providing included holiday insurance. However everyone who travels on any of our holidays must have adequate travel insurance, this should include:

Upon confirming your holiday we will forward to you a leaflet from our preferred Insurance Brokers which will give you information on how to purchase Travel Insurance from them. Towergate Chapman Stevens are Travel Insurance Specialist in the Coaching Industry.
