Tour Breakdown

Monday - We travel North through the Midlands into Cheshire and Lancashire. We arrive in Blackpool on the coast late afternoon in time to settle in before dinner.

Tuesday - Christmas Eve. A day to relax and perhaps jump on a tram along the seafront to the town centre and see the Tower. In the evening there will be carols and cabaret in the hotel’s lounge bar.

Wednesday - Christmas Day. A day out on the coach to visit the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the town of Skipton. It’s market day, one of biggest in the north. Also there is a castle, canal and many more shops. We return to our hotel in time to get ready for Christmas Day dinner and a visit from Father Christmas.

Thursday - New Years Eve. This morning we drive the short distance to Fleetwood and its famous market. The afternoon we will spend back in Blackpool. After dinner there will be entertainment with all the usual New Year celebrations.

Friday - After a leisurely breakfast we leave for our journey home. We will be stopping en route for comfort stops arriving in the West Country late afternoon.

Our Hotel

The Silversands South Promenade is within easy reach of the trams on the promenade and next door to the Pleasure Beach. This hotel we have used for many years. It is family owned and offers a warm welcome. There is a bar/lounge games room and a lift to all floors. All rooms are en suite with TV, tea/coffee making facilities.
