Tour Breakdown

Sunday - We travel northwards passing through the western counties of England, stopping for our included lunch. Continuing our journey, we arrive at our hotel in late afternoon with time to settle in before dinner.

Excursions to enjoy whilst in Grangeover-Sands:
A full day to Bowness on Windermere before our cruise on the lake to Lakeside, ending with a steam train ride to Haverthwaite.

A full day panoramic drive visiting Ullswater, Keswick and Grasmere.

A full day along Coniston Water to the village of Coniston then onto Hawkshead, home of Beatrice Potter before returning through Ambleside.

A free day in Grange over Sands.

A short day to Kendal for some shopping.

A day out for a visit to the county town of Lancaster and on to the seaside resort of Morecombe.

Sunday - After a leisurely breakfast we depart for our journey back to the West Country stopping for our included lunch.

Our Hotel

The Cumbria Grand Hotel. This 19th century building stands in the tranquil setting of its own 20 acre grounds. It offers a tennis court, putting green and a woodland nature walk. All rooms are en suite, TV, telephone and tea making facilities. Live entertainment on most evenings. A lift is available to all floors.
