Tour Breakdown
Monday - We travel north making stops on the way. We pass through the Midlands for our overnight hotel arriving in time to settle in before dinner.
Tuesday - After a night’s rest we head again northwards over the border into Scotland. We continue on into the Highlands and our hotel in the village of Beauly.
Wednesday - Today is the first of our train journeys. We join the mainline service running along the eastern coastline, which then turns inland across the moors to Thurso. This is about as far north as you can get. Your coach will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel.
Thursday - The highlight of the holiday for many will be the train journey today. A spectacular ride to the Kyle of Lochalsh, overlooking the Isle of Skye. This is undoubtedly the most scenic rail journey in Britain. Again our coach will be waiting for you to return through more stunning scenery via Loch Ness.
Friday - A free day to explore Beauly.
Saturday - After breakfast we leave Inverness and head south to Aviemore where we have another short train ride on the Strathspey Railway. We will rejoin our coach and head south stopping in Pitlochry for a break. We then continue through the Lowlands to the Scottish border and on to our overnight hotel.
Sunday - We leave after breakfast and retrace our steps back through the Midlands, arriving home in the late afternoon.
