This tour encompasses two great passions - gardening and steam trains. Set around North Wales in the shadow of Mount Snowdon, surrounded by beautiful scenery and staying at one of our clients' favourite hotels overlooking Cardigan Bay

Tour Breakdown
First Day - We leave the West Country and travel into Worcestershire for our included lunch stop. Afterwards we travel on to North Wales to our hotel in Criccieth.
Excursions to enjoy whilst in North Wales:
A free day to explore Criccieth. Or perhaps a trip along the coast to Pwllheli.
An afternoon visit to the Italianate Portmeirion village, created by Sir Clough William– Ellis, with its fabulous coastal gardens.
Caernarfon and its majestic Castle. On then to the walled town of Conway, then the afternoon in the Victorian resort of Llandudno.
A train journey from Porthmadog through the countryside to Ffestiniog where you will rejoin the coach and go on to Betws-y-Coed. Returning via Swallow Falls and the Llanberis Pass travelling past Snowdon down to Bethgelert.
Travel south to Tywyn and our trip on the Talyllyn Narrow gauge railway, travelling up the coast through Barmouth and Harlech.
A full day to the famous Bodnant Gardens, covering over 80 acres, one of the finest gardens in Britain. We shall return along the Conwy Valley with a stop in Porthmadog before returning to our hotel in time for dinner.
Last Day - Sadly we must leave and make our way home stopping en route to arrive in the West Country late afternoon.

The Lion Hotel Criccieth. This lovely hotel occupies a central position overlooking the village green and the castle. A family owned hotel, it offers en suite rooms with hospitality tray, TV, telephone, radio & alarm clock. There is a lift to most bedrooms.
