Tour Breakdown

Saturday - An early start from the West Country takes us to Dover for our short ferry crossing to Calais. We then travel through northern France to our first overnight hotel in Riems. After dinner, perhaps a short stroll into the city centre to see the Cathedral or perhaps sample a glass of the local brew.

Sunday - We continue to our second overnight hotel in Lyon, France. This is a shorter day to giving you a chance to relax.

Monday - Our final day travelling south to the port of Toulon. Here we board our cruise ship and enjoy an overnight crossing to Bastia on the island of Corsica.

Tuesday - After we disembark we will join our coach and drive through the Corsican National Park to Ajaccio, on the west coast for the next three nights.

Wednesday - Today is free to explore the town, the birthplace of Napoleon, the Fesch museum, perhaps find a bar in tree lined avenues or just relax by the hotel pool.

Thursday - A full day along the stunning west coast visiting the Greek village of Cargese. Then onto Piana village, built in pink granite and Porto, a tiny fishing village on the Gulf of Porto. We return through the mountains of Evisa.

Friday - Today sadly we leave Corsica. We drive across the island to Bonifacio to take the short ferry crossing to Santa Teresa on the island of Sardinia. We then travel into the mountain area of Galluras and our hotel for the next 3 nights.

Saturday - A morning guided tour of our host town, Tempio Pausania and the carpet factory. The rest of the day to explore independently or relax by the pool.

Sunday - We set out today to explore the Coast and countryside heading East to Sassari and onto the coastal resort of Alghero a pretty and historic town. We then visit Porto Torres and travel along the coast before heading back into the mountains and host resort.

Monday - Today we start our journey home with an afternoon cruise to mainland Italy, passing Corsica and the Isle of Elba. Dinner is served on board before we arrive at the port of Livorno then continue to our first overnight in Montecatini.

Tuesday - After breakfast we travel north leaving Italy crossing the Alps through Switzerland into France for our second overnight.

Wednesday - After a buffet breakfast we leave and cross the French countryside to our last overnight hotel.

Thursday - We travel to Calais for our crossing to Dover. We shall arrive back in the West Country early evening.

Sun Beach Ajaccio, Corsica is a modern hotel just a short distance from the beach. It offers a terrace, swimming pool bar & lounge. All rooms are en suite with air conditioning, hairdryer, balcony and TV.

Hotel Pausania Inn Tempio Pausania, Sardinia is situated in rural Sardinia in the mountain countryside and is family owned. There is a swimming pool & terrace, bar and lounge. The bedrooms are all en suite with en suite, air conditioning and hairdryer.

Our overnight hotels will all be of a similar standard.
