Experience two forms of transport, so remarkably different yet each in its day was at the cutting edge of design. The Manchester Ship Canal transformed the ability to export goods during Victorian times while Concorde was the single largest advance in transport during the 20th Century.

Tour Breakdown

Friday - We travel north, stopping for our included lunch. We then head into Cheshire and our hotel south of Manchester in time to settle in before dinner.

Saturday - We begin our tour with Concorde. Our guided tour takes us around the outside then the cabin and flight deck to hear the stories of this amazing icon. Next we head to Tatton Park. This elegant Elizabethan house and gardens is set in 1000 acres of landscaped deer park in the heart of Cheshire.

Sunday - This morning we drive to Manchester docks to board our boat for a 6 hour cruise on the Manchester Ship Canal. There is a commentary on the journey also refreshments can be obtained during your cruise. On arriving in Liverpool your coach will be there to meet you and return you to your hotel.

Monday - After a leisurely breakfast we make our journey home stopping again for our included lunch. We will arrive back to the West Country late afternoon.
