The carpet of flowers is a biennial event in the heart of Brussels. The Grand Place is covered with a colourful display of flowers woven across the square to form a giant carpet.

Tour Breakdown
Friday - We have an early start from home to drive to Dover to catch our ferry to Calais. We continue our journey into Belgium and our host town of Mechelen, arriving in good time to settle in.
Saturday - After breakfast we will have time to explore our host town before leaving to drive the short distance to Brussels. The afternoon is yours to view the Carpet of Flowers.
Sunday - A full day in the capital city of Brussels which has much history reflected in the architecture and labyrinth of narrow streets. There is much to see and explore, even have another look at the carpet of flowers.
Monday - After breakfast we set off on our return journey, crossing into France and Calais to catch the ferry. Back in England, we continue our journey homewards to the West Country arriving in the early evening.
Our Hotel
Novotel Centrum Mechelen. As the name suggests the hotel is situated in the center of the town. A modern hotel with bar, lounge and restaurant. All bedrooms are en suite with TV and direct dial telephone.
